Christmas treats...

Time for a little Christmas baking, minus the actual "baking!" ;)
Last night, Jamie, Laurie and I went to Lauren's place to make some Christmas chocolate covered pretzels. They were delicious! I swear that chocolate would taste good on anything!

Oh Lauren...

Lauren, Adia, Laurie & Jamie

Lauren's husband Chad helped with keeping Adia busy while we "created" our pretzel masterpieces...

Even Adia was in on the action! Mmmm...tasty spatula...

What a fun evening! Thanks again Lauren for having us over...next time we'll do it at my place!

All dressed up and no place to go...

Sunday night pre-Christmas photo shoot with Grandpa & Grandma...

Finally...out of the dress clothes and back into something comfortable! Konrad convinced me that his pants needed to come off because, "Auntie Bonnie, you take Konrad's pants off because it isn't cold in here, ok!?" hahaha...what a kid!
Bath time in our sink...Now is that not the cutest and most kissable face you've ever seen!?

Saturday

Jon and Todd worked all day on a renovation Jon is starting on, so Brianne and I did some serious Christmas shopping with her friend Sarah. I am now officially done my Christmas shopping and it feels pretty good to know that I won't have to be in the crazy malls now unless I choose to be.
After shopping we met Jon, Todd & Sarah's husband Colin back at Todd & Brianne's for pizza and games...we played a rousing game of Cranium Hoopla and had a great time :) It was a very nice ending to the day!

Happy Belated Birthday Grandpa!

Sunday night we had a surprise birthday for Grandpa Esau. His birthday was actually on November 11 but Grandpa & Grandma were in Palm Springs on his birthday, so we celebrated a bit late. Naomi and Erich had us all over for a wonderful supper (thanks again Nome...it was delicious as usual!) and then when everyone had moved to the living room to relax, we surprised him with a cake and a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday." He hadn't suspected a thing!
It was so great to be able to celebrate them! They mean the world to us and I just pray that we have lots and lots more years with them!

Grandpa Esau

Konrad just had to help Grandpa blow out the candles...

Ava is such a big girl already! She's already using her little jumper ring by herself

Happy Birthday Grandpa...we love you so much!

Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree...

At least the snow got me in the mood to decorate for Christmas. Somehow, it just feels more like Christmas when there is snow outside.
Jon did the lights...I did the decorating. It was a lot of fun and I was really excited about how it turned out. Our loft definitely suites the Christmas theme---its very cozy!

And here is what we came home to...crazy, hey!?

From sunshine to....snow?

Well we're back. We arrived home from Palm Springs late Wednesday night and couldn't believe our eyes! Abbotsford was COVERED in snow! I mean, we had heard that the weather had been bad while we were away (thank goodness we chose to go the week we did) but we didn't expect quite this much.
Anyway...our vacation was AWESOME! We had such a wonderful week in the beautiful sunshine. The weather was really quite perfect, only one afternoon where it got a bit cloudy but other than that....the sun was out! I won't go into any great detail because really, we mostly just lay by the pool and read books, golfed a bit (well, Jon golfed a LOT, I only golfed a bit), shopped a bunch (the Thanksgiving sales down there were bigger than our Boxing day sales!), bombed around on the golf cart and just genuinely relaxed!
I PROMISE to post pictures and have in fact, been trying to do so all day, but my stupid Firefox browser is not co-operating and I can't get the pictures to upload. So stay tuned...you will see pictures of sunny skys, blue pools, and palm trees very soon.
