9 months...

I haven't been doing a very good job of posting monthly updates on Callie, so I figured her 3/4 birthday should probably be recorded (even though it was a couple of weeks ago already). Here are some pictures and 'tidbits' about our sweet girl at the 9 month mark:
- weighed in at 20 lbs. 14 oz.
- 30" in height
- FINALLY cut her first tooth, the day after her 9 mth. birthday

- has started crawling backwards a bit but hasn't quite figured out how to move forward. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth, but still no forward action yet
- stands quite well if she's holding onto something

- loves to look at books and have Daddy read to her before bed
- has become extremely independent with eating and often insists on feeding herself
- LOVES puffed wheat and Baby MumMum's

- sleeps 7:00pm- 7:00am (and has been doing so for the last few months... this is my personal favorite!)
- continues to ADORE other children & screams in delight when she sees them
- is fairly obsessed with her baby cousin, Elijah
- still naps twice a day (1 morning & 1 afternoon nap) but is getting close to cutting out her morning nap
- babbles constantly (dada, mama, nana, yaya, etc.)

- loves music & cartoons & playing like a "big girl" ;)
- is a total goof and will do anything to make you laugh... especially by making faces like this:

... and continues to be the intense joy in our days & the light of our lives!

And indeed, that last picture made me laugh out loud. I miss that little girl so, and I miss her mommy and daddy too. I hurts a bit that she is going through all these changes and we're not around for them! Hopefully we'll figure out a time this summer to see you guys! Miss you!

She's just perfect! Don't worry about the not into crawling yet...while it is exciting and you want them to get to the next stage...enjoy the immobility as long as you can. Soon enough you will be wondering why you ever wanted her to walk in the first place :-)
