Sad good-byes & Sunny skies...

The finished product of their last house together... over 5200 finished sq/ft ...

Sometimes I wonder how they ever got any work done :)

Todd left for Calgary today and it was definitely a sad good-bye. Work just won't feel the same for Jon without him. Then again, life in general won't feel the same without him. Jon was so blessed to be able to work with such a close friend!

We'll miss you Todd & Brianne!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We finally got a sunny Saturday afternoon so Jon and I decided to make the most of it. We popped over to Jon's parents place to enjoy their refreshing outdoor pool... Jon wasn't too happy with the temperature of the water :)

I must admit that it was absolutely FREEZING but once I was in, it was SO relaxing. What a perfect afternoon of lying in the sun! Simply glorious.

Though Jon did come in the pool for a while, I think he preferred playing board games on the deck with his mom... :)

Mom E. spoiled us with yummy treats after our swim...

Ended the day with a stroll through the garden...

What a lovely day Bonnie! And such beautiful skies to go along with it. Looks warm! Alas, it is winter here in Edmonton. (yes, I do exaggerate, but a little nippy). I miss ya! Love the pics you took, especially the one of the spider's web. It's great! Another weekend almost over...can you believe it? I'm waiting for my chili and rice to cook...can't wait to eat it, it smells so yummy! Love ya lots!

But was the corn as high as an elephant's eye? Sounds like you had a fun sunny day. Always fun to swim!

Lovely, lovely post, Bonnie. Thanks for sharing your sunny days with us. (Why do I suddenly have the old Sesame Street song in my head?) No - seriously, I love the pictures. Hope you're doing well!

hi. i smell like you. well not "smell like you" exactly but i smell like a gift you gave me. remember the body spray from bath and body works that you gave me for my 25th birthday? yup, i have it at school with me so i can use it after i shower at school. which happens to be at least 4 times a week. so know that i am thinking of you and that i smell SO GOOD.

Oh what I wouldn't give to sit in a pool right now. However it looks like Fall is around us and there will be no more outdoor pools this year.

So I was just talking to Niki yesterday about how sad I am that I've lost my rook cards, and how I miss playing rook with Jon all the time in dorm... so sad, I was thinking a road trip might be in order sometime. ok so this has nothing to do with your post, but I thought I'd say hi, and Jon... we really should play some rook again... I don't suppose there is an internet sight that lets you do that???
