The Great Outdoors

Took a nice afternoon walk around Mill Lake with my parents today. It was wonderful---the sun even came out for a while. I'd describe the afternoon as "completely refreshing." I just love getting outside on days like today. Unfortunately Jon couldn't join us because he had a paper to write, but I had such a nice time catching up with my parents and enjoying the crisp, "almost spring" air. Sometimes I wish everyday was the weekend. As much as I love my job, I must confess that I often live for the weekends. Does anyone else do the same? I don't want to wish life away by doing so, but its just nice to be able to unwind after a long week and two days just never seems long enough :) Not complaining though...just contemplating life as one long weekend. Might be kind of nice...

AWWW! It's so great to see a picture of your smiling parents. Give them both a big hug from me!! Glad to hear you had a nice afternoon with them :) And by the way, your math skills are truly unbelievable. I'm going to stick to saying 52 days. YESSSSSSSSS!!! I can't say I live for the weekends. Other than the fact I don't have classes, I mostly study. Not much to look forward to there! I'm not complaining though either...I did in fact choose to get another degree because one was just not enough :) One day the weekends will be something to look forward to....

I am so with you Bonnie. I live for the weekends. Not so much since I have a new job, but I'd say in a month or so, I'll be ALL about weekends!

Bon! I'm back! We ended up having to stay for 6 days, so that is why I haven't posted. You are funny you impatient little one! Check out the blog, it explains it on there. Anyways, I've been meaning to ask you-did your parents move to Chilliwack too? Or were they just up for a visit? Your weekend walk sounds nice. I wish I could say I live for weekends too, but my weekends are just as insane as my weekdays. I think I live for Friday nights though. They're my favorite. Oh what a busy chaotic life. After Africa things will calm down for a while. Anyways, we MUST chat on the phone immediately. I leave for Africa on the 15th, so before then! AND can we do coffee when your in Edmo in April...I need to see you!
