At Last...Our Home!

OK so this post is LONG overdue seeing as we've been living in this place since June but I promised to show pictures, and here they are!

This is our entry, so this is what you see when you first come in our door. Follow the stairs up, and you're in our cozy loft!

Our very cozy living room---still not quite satisfied with the furniture layout but I'm working on it :) I guess you could say that's the designer "picky-ness" coming out!

Here's the other angle of the living room

Our dining area

The TINY kitchen---it does the trick! There's a dishwasher so nothing else matters :)

Bathroom---this is all pretty straight forward but I'll continue with the comments so it feels like I am actually taking you on a "tour" of our house! ;)

Our bedroom---we also have a guest bedroom but it was full of stuff so I didn't add a picture of it---but feel free to visit 'cause we do have the space!

"The View from the Top!"---this is taken from our office which is in the very peak part of our loft. Its pretty sweet! That's what the ladder leads to in case you were curious from the other pictures.

So there you have it! Hope you enjoyed the virtual tour of our home. And if you haven't seen it in person, it obviously means you're due for a visit! ;)

Sunday Afternoon at Harrison

We spent Sunday afternoon at Harrison Hot Springs with my parents and sister, enjoying the sunshine, sand castles and sweet live music! It was such a nice way to spend the day! :)

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

OK so last night was a highlight for sure!! We had our friends Todd & Brianne over for supper last night and it was a ton of fun! Todd and I go WAY back and he was really good friends with Jon at Bethany. We were delighted to find out that they moved out here from Calgary this summer and finally got the chance to get together with them as a couple last night. I knew OF Brianne but we had never hung out before and I'd say we totally hit it off! It was such a good evening of fellowship and LOTS of laughing and reminiscing of "the good ol' days!" The craziest part was that we were having such a good time talking that none of us realized what time it was......2:00AM!!!!! We hadn't stayed up that late with friends in AGES! It was truly an awesome evening...we hope to have many more with them!

Friday Night with the Fam

Friday night couldn't have come more quickly this week and both Jon and I were so relieved to have it arrive. It was a busy week at work for both of us and we were really looking forward to relaxing. Somehow all of us kids ended up at Jon's parents place for the evening and had a great time playing with our nephew and neice. Jon's oldest sister Susanne even drove out from Abbotsford which was nice because we hadn't seen her in weeks. A lot of the evening was spend just watching Konrad...I can't believe how much he is growing up...what an entertainer! We all laughed ourselves silly! It really made me stop and think about how much family is such a blessing and how Jon and I are so lucky to live close to his family... and mine now too! (Now we just have to convince Craig and Jen to move out here and our family will be complete! No pressure guys...wink, wink!)
Anyway...it ended up being an awesome evening with the Esau's! A perfect family Friday night!

Thursday Night Stroll

On Thursday night, Jon had to go over to his parents place to fix something on our car, so I decided to walk to their place. I had always wanted to but seeing as they live just a 5 minute drive away, we always seem to hop in the car to go there. Since I had nothing better to do and Thursday night ended up being such a beautiful evening, I took a long stroll to their place. It was so refreshing to just spend some time by myself, reflecting on how incredible God's creation is and how blessed we are to be living in the country. What a creative God we have!

A Few Wedding Pictures...

So I had a request for some wedding pictures and thought it might be nice, seeing as not everyone has seen our wedding photos. So here are just a few! And for anyone that might not know and may be curious, Jon and I were married last year, August 7 at Minter Gardens in Chilliwack. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony under a big white tent in the gardens and then had a delicious dinner reception in the very beautiful Envision Conservatory. It was a RIDICULOUSLY hot day but other than that, we wouldn't have changed anything...it was truly a wonderful day! And for those of you who may be wondering why our nephew is in a bear costume, sitting in a wagon...well, Jon had only one simple request for our wedding day. He had always wanted to have a ring "bear" instead of a "ringbearer" and so a ring "bear" he got. Our nephew wasn't walking yet and so our flower girl Jordy, brought him down the aisle in a wagon. It was actually incredibly cute! And he didn't try to escape which was good too! After the wedding we had a very relaxing 2 week honeymoon in Belize, so i'll add a few pictures of that as well! Keep in mind that these are just a few of our own pictures that friends and family have taken...if you would like to see some of our photographer's pictures you can either go to her blog page, which is http://kimmallory.typepad.com (our pictures are the ones she has at the top of her page), or you can check out her website at www.malloryphotographics.com and you can look under the wedding category (there are a few of us just randomly placed throughout the others; and there are a bunch of our engagement photos under the "couples" category). Hope you enjoy!...
